At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).

A total of 15,120,800 shares in 734 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 432,672,968.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Monday, November 23), today’s data shows 61% improvement in volume, 10% decline in turnover, but 36% improvement in deals.

The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.15 trillion.

In the aggregate, 42 NSE listed securities participated in trading, ending with 17 gainers and 13 losers.

Eveready East Africa Plc [EVRD] led the gainers with ✅8.99% share price appreciation closing at KES 0.97 per share, followed by:

✅Home Afrika Plc [HAFR] (+7.69%)
✅Centum Investment Company Plc [CTUM] (+6.85%)
✅Sanlam Kenya Plc [SLAM] (+4.55%).

On the losing side, Olympia Capital Holdings [OCH] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?8.18% closing at KES 2.02 per share, followed by:

?East African Cables Plc [CABL] (-7.14%)
?Diamond Trust Bank Kenya [DTK] (-3.08%)
?TPS Eastern Africa Plc [TPSE] (-2.50%).

Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] recorded the highest volume of 4.7 million traded shares, followed by:

➖Absa Bank Kenya Plc [ABSA] (4.09m)
➖Safaricom Plc [SCOM] (3.46m)
➖Kengen Plc [KEGN] (678,800).

➡️The benchmark NSE All Share Index [NASI] declined ?0.77 points to close at 142.98

➡️The NSE 20 Share Index gained ✅3.83 points to close at 1790.72

➡️The NSE 25 Share Index declined ?7.20 points to close at 3250.99

There were no contracts concluded during today’s trading session on the derivatives market of the NSE.

The bonds market posted a decline in turnover during today’s trading session, with bonds worth Kes 1.88 billion transacted in 109 deals against the Kes 2.20 billion worth of bonds transacted in the previous trading session.
