The International Business Magazine Awards recognize firms that have the extraordinary power to lead from the front and strive hard to achieve supreme, quality-backed services.

Standard Investment Bank won the award by virtue of MansaX, its global markets product that exposes investors to non-traditional asset classes such as precious metals, commodities, currencies, global and local stock indices, global and local single stocks, and cash and fixed income.

MansaX is a Global Multi-Asset Strategy Fund with a long/short trading model, that invests in financial instruments, both local and global with the primary objective of creating capital growth for its investors.

As at 30th September 2020, MansaX successfully delivered one of the highest returns in the market with an annualized return of 23.3% outperforming most of the locally available investment solutions by double digits.

The higher return is attributed to the fund’s ability to employ long/short trading models which ensures capital appreciation for investors whether markets are gaining in value (going long) or losing value (going short).

Speaking after receiving the award, Nahashon Mungai, Executive Director for Global Markets at SIB stated, “This award is testament to our continued commitment giving local investors the best returns through global markets exposure, while protecting their capital from downside risk. We thank our clients for the steadfast support, and our staff for maintaining the highest levels of service to our clients”
