At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Tuesday, February 2), today’s data shows 45% decline in volume, 48% decline in turnover, and 3% decline in deals.

The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.37 trillion.

In the aggregate, 47 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 21✅ gainers and 22? losers.

Nairobi Securities Exchange Plc [NSE] led the gainers with 7.82% share price appreciation closing at✅ KES 9.10 per share, followed by:

✅Nairobi Business Ventures [NBV] (+4.04%)
✅Crown Paints Plc [CRWN] (+4.03%)
✅HF Group Plc [HFCK] (+4.01%)

On the losing side, Home Afrika Plc [HAFR] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?5.13% at KES 0.37 per share, followed by:

?Nation Media Group Plc [NMG] (-4.42%)
?Co-operative Bank of Kenya [COOP] (-4.38%)
?I&M Holdings Plc [IMH] (-3.78%)

KCB Group Plc [KCB] recorded the highest volume of 5.00 million traded shares, followed by:

➖Safaricom Plc [SCOM] (3.18m)
➖Kenya Power & Lighting Company Plc [KPLC](1.48m)
➖Kenya Re-Insurance Corporation [KNRE] (1.06m).

➡️The benchmark NSE All Share Index [NASI] gained✅2.38 points to close at 157.22
➡️The NSE 20 Share Index declined? 1.81 points to close at 1872.56
➡️The NSE 25 Share Index gained✅ 29.97 points to close at 3459.86

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE.

There derivatives market of the NSE recorded a rise in today’s trading session with 16 contracts valued at kes 518,100 concluded against the 24 contracts valued at kes 424,100 traded during the Previous trading session.

The secondary bond market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange has recorded a slight increase in activity during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 4.36 billion traded in 113 deals as compared to the Kes 4.34 billion achieved in 124 deals in the previous trading session.
