At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).

A total of 13,459,900 shares in 715 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 435,396,249.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Wednesday, November 18), today’s data shows 103% improvement in volume, 107% improvement in turnover, but 1% decline in deals.

The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.14 trillion.

In the aggregate, 44 NSE listed securities participated in trading, ending with 16 gainers and 22 losers.

Olympia Capital Holdings [OCH] led the gainers with ✅10.00% share price appreciation closing at KES 2.20 per share, followed by:

✅Carbacid Investments Plc [CARB] (+7.67%)
✅Diamond Trust Bank Kenya [DTK] (+4.92%)
✅Bamburi Cement Plc [BAMB] (+4.48%).

On the losing side, HF Group Plc [HFCK] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?5.92% closing at KES 3.02 per share, followed by:

?Kapchorua Tea Company Plc [KAPC] (-5.61%)
?WPP ScanGroup Plc [SCAN] (-3.80%)
?Nation Media Group Plc [NMG] (-3.73%).

Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] recorded the highest volume of 5.3 million traded shares, followed by:

➖Bank of Kigali Group Plc [BKG] (2.05m)
➖Stanbic Holdings Plc [SBIC] (1.32m)
➖Centum Investment Company Plc [CTUM] (1.2m).

➡️The benchmark NSE All Share Index [NASI] declined ?1.70 points to close at 142.38

➡️The NSE 20 Share Index declined ?4.14 points to close at 1784.40

➡️The NSE 25 Share Index declined ?37.35 points to close at 3240.97

The derivatives market of the NSE was flat during today’s session with no contracts concluded for a third day running on the market.

The bonds market posted a decline in turnover during today’s trading session, with bonds worth Kes 1.06 billion transacted in 61 deals against the 2.37 billion worth of bonds transacted in the previous trading session.
