At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)

A total of 10,419,300 shares in 755 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 236,095,849.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Monday, October 26), today’s data shows 12% decline in volume, 44% decline in turnover, and 1% decline in deals.

The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.1 trillion.

In the aggregate, 43 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 16✅ gainers and 16 ?losers.

Standard Group Plc [SGL] led the gainers with✅ 9.84% share price appreciation closing at KES 24.00 per share, followed by:

✅ Liberty Holdings Plc [LBTY] (+7.73%)
✅ Kapchorua Plc [KAPC] (+6.67%)
✅Longhorn Publishers Plc [LKL] (+4.21%).

On the losing side, Uchumi Supermarkets Plc [UCHM] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of? 10% at KES 0.27 per share, followed by:

? Transcentury Plc [TCL] (-9.64%)
? HF Group Plc [HFCK] (-6.33%)
? Carbacid Plc [CARB] (-4.48%).

Safaricom Plc [SCOM] recorded the highest volume of 5.3 million traded shares, followed by:

➖ Britam Holdings Plc [BRIT] (1.13m)
➖Absa Bank Kenya Plc [ABSA] (1.1m)
➖Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] (873,000).

➡️The benchmark NSE All Share Index [NASI] gained✅ 0.91 to close at 139.99

➡️The NSE 20 Share Index declined? 1.39 points to close at 1797.99

➡️The NSE 25 Share Index declined?  4.02 points to close at 3185.23

There were no contracts concluded during today’s trading session on  derivatives market of the NSE.

The bonds market posted a slight decline in turnover in today’s trading session, with bonds worth Kes 2.53 billion transacted in 83 deals against the 3.03 billion worth of bonds transacted in Monday’s trading session.
