Compared with the previous trading day (Wednesday, June 16), today’s data shows 26% decline in volume but 4% improvement in turnover.

The current market capitalization of the Nairobi Securities Exchange is KES 2.63 trillion.

In the aggregate, 47 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 14✅ gainers and 19? losers.

Eaagads Plc [EGAD] led the gainers with✅ 9.52% share price appreciation closing at KES 11.50 per share, followed by:

✅Standard Group Plc [SGL] (+7.4%)
✅Eveready E.A Plc [EVRD] (+5.32%)
✅Bamburi Cement Plc [BAMB] (+3.99%).

On the losing side, BOC Gases Kenya Plc [BOC] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of? 9.56% at KES 61.50 per share, followed by:

?Williamson Tea Kenya Plc [WTK] (-7.2%)
?WPP ScanGroup Plc [SCAN] (-2.55%)
?Kenya Re-Insurance Corporation [KNRE] (-2.45%).

Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] recorded the highest volume of 3.6 million traded shares, followed by:

➖Safaricom Plc [SCOM] (1.81m)
➖Centum Investment Plc [CTUM] (1.7m)
➖East African Breweries Plc [EABL] (1.13m)

➡️The benchmark NSE All-Share Index [NASI] declined? 0.69 points to close at 173.48
➡️The NSE 20 Share Index declined? 2.88 points to close at 1908.57
➡️The NSE 25 Share Index declined? 2.01 points to close at 3766.20

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a notable rise in activity during Today’s trading session, with 264 single stock futures contracts valued at Kes 9.07 Million concluded, compared to the 1 SSF contracts valued at Kes 42,900 concluded on the previous session.

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a decline in activity during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 2.17  billion transacted in 66 deals as compared to the Kes 3.38 billion worth of bonds achieved in 55 deals in the preceding session.
