Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Wednesday, March 10), today’s data shows 48% decline in volume, 41% decline in turnover, and 24% decline in deals.

The current Nairobi Securities Exchange market capitalization is KES 2.45 trillion.

In the aggregate, 42 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 16✅ gainers and 13? losers.

Olympia Capital Holdings [OCH] led the gainers with ✅4.17% share price appreciation closing at KES 2.25 per share, followed by

✅ Nairobi Securities Exchange Plc [NSE] (+3.91%)
✅ Uchumi Supermarket Plc [UCHM](+3.7%)
✅ Sanlam Kenya Plc [SLAM] (+3.36%).

On the losing side, Nation Media Group Plc [NMG] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of? 7.65% at KES 18.10 per share, followed by:

?TransCentury Plc [TCL] (-6.67%)
? Nairobi Business Ventures [NBV] (-3.81%)
? HF Group Plc [HFCK] (-2.6%).

Safaricom Plc [SCOM] recorded the highest volume of 9.5 million traded shares, followed by

➖Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] (1.39m)
➖Bamburi Cement Plc [BAMB] (1.03m)
➖East African Breweries Plc [EABL] (1.02m)

➡️The benchmark NSE All-Share Index [NASI] gained✅ 0.15 points to close at 162.85
➡️The NSE 20 Share Index declined? 1.79 points to close at 1913.35
➡️The NSE 25 Share Index gained✅ 8.36 points to close at 3614.43

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a decline in activity during today’s trading session, with 1 single stock future contract valued at Kes 37,650 concluded, compared to the 29 SSF contracts valued at Kes 816,150 million concluded on the previous session

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded an increase in activity during Thursday’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 2.97 billion transacted in 74 deals as compared to the Kes 1.77 billion worth of bonds achieved in 68 deals in the preceding session.
