She will succeed Catherine Igathe, the current CEO of Jubilee Allianz General Insurance Limited, Kenya, exiting the firm this July to pursue other opportunities.

How Jubilee Allianz was formed

Early this month, Allianz and Jubilee Holdings announced a 66% stake in the Jubilee General Insurance Company in Kenya to form Jubilee Allianz. Other acquisitions of Jubilee General Insurance businesses in Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi and Mauritius is expected to follow.

Adja Samb has been the CEO of Allianz Senegal Assurances. She had previously driven the acquisition and integration of an insurance company in Morocco into Allianz Group some five years ago.

As CEO of Allianz Senegal since 2019, Adja is credited with putting in place a result-driven firm using several management tools.

According to Coenraad Vrolijk, Regional CEO of Allianz Africa, Adja is best suited to integrate and transform the new business in Kenya, using her extensive experience in the insurance industry.
