Larry Ellison has briefly overtook Elon Musk as the world’s richest man, this was after Oracle made $101 billion in a single day. This is the largest one-day increase ever recorded on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the increase was caused by Oracle’s spectacular stock rally after the company unveiled stronger quarterly results and announced major breakthroughs in artificial intelligence cloud infrastructure deals. Oracle is therefore growing as one of the critical supplier of AI tools.

Larry Ellison most notable development while in Oracle is the contract with open AI of $300 billion, this is a milestone for Oracle. Along other multibillion dollars partnership that has sent Oracle earning 40% intraday before closing with a gain of around 36%. As for Ellison his earnings are tightly determined by the performance of Oracle hence if Oracle’s performance increases his earnings increases and vice versa.

Larry Ellison has earned a personal fortune of $393 billion enough to pass Elon Musk whose  net is around $380 to $390 billion. This sudden rise means more than just topping the billionaire list. Oracle, which was once seen as trailing behind Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure in cloud computing, has now turned things around by focusing on the fast-growing demand for AI infrastructure.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), which used to be less important, is now driving much of the company’s growth. Experts say this shift toward powerful AI computing has changed how investors view Oracle, moving it from a traditional software company to a major player in the AI-driven economy. Oracle has reinvented itself by tapping into the fast-growing demand for AI infrastructure.

Larry Ellison rise is not just about who is the richest man but about the start of a new economic era. Huge investments in AI infrastructure are not only changing the rankings of the world’s wealthiest people but are also shaping the future of the global tech industry. Whether Ellison stays on top or not, his success shows how powerful artificial intelligence has become in creating wealth and shifting influence among the world’s leading business figures.
