Nairobi Business Ventures PLC Records a Dip of 11% in Profit After Tax.

Nairobi Business ventures PLC posted 11% drop in its profit after tax from KES. 36.3million in 2024 to KES. 32.2million for the period that ended on march 31,2025.

According to the results, total assets jumped up by 6% to KES. 3.35billion. Equity surged by 2.6% to KES. 1.90 billion while borrowings trickled down to KES. 602.5million.

That notwithstanding, the company’s trading revenue had a significant fall down of 88% from KES. 412.7million in 2024 to KES. 48.9million in 2025. It also had a 24% plunge in its gross profit which projected KES. 148.2million in figures. Profit before tax went down to KES. 31.4million reflecting a 31% dip compared to the previous year.

Nairobi Business Ventures Operational Analysis

Moreover, the revenue for the group went down by 37 per cent from KES. 809.8 million in 2024 to KES. 508 million in 2025, while aviation revenue increased by 79% to KES. 133.3 million from KES. 74.6million attributed by increased aircraft maintenance activity and automobile revenue went up by 1 percent to KES. 325.7million. On the other hand, other income surged to KES. 155million from KES. 16.1 million.

Management report and future outlook

The company faced a challenging operating environment because of an economic drop-off in the country coupled with high competition, which led to a decline in performance. The directors also opt to defer payment of dividend for the period due to the company’s need to reinvest, as the managements current focus for the forthcoming period is mainly on; cash management, cost control and preserving value in the stronger aviation and mobile businesses.
