Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Monday, June 7), today’s data shows 18% decline in volume and 38% decline in turnover.

The current market capitalization of the Nairobi Securities Exchange is KES 2.6 trillion.

In the aggregate, 47 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 22✅ gainers and 16? losers.

Liberty Holdings Plc [LBTY] led the gainers with✅ 7.35% share price appreciation closing at KES 7.30 per share, followed by:

✅ East African Cables Plc [CABL] (+4.88%)
✅ CIC Insurance Plc [CIC] (+4.27%)
✅ Williamson Tea Kenya Plc [WTK](+3.13%).

On the losing side, Sanlam Kenya Plc [SLAM] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of? 8.76% at KES 9.90 per share, followed by:

? Standard Group Plc [SGL] (-7.69%)
?E.A Portland Plc [PORT]. (-7.34%)
?Eaagads Plc [EGAD] (-7.22%).

Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] recorded the highest volume of 3 million traded shares, followed by:

➖ Safaricom Plc [SCOM] (1.14m)
➖Co-operative Bank of Kenya [COOP] (932,200)
➖ Kenya Re-Insurance Corporation [KNRE] (873,400)

➡️The benchmark NSE All-Share Index [NASI] gained✅ 1.36 points to close at 171.14
➡️The NSE 20 Share Index gained✅ 2.90 points to close at 1907.05
➡️The NSE 25 Share Index gained✅ 30.32 points to close at 3730.55

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a rise in activity during Today’s trading session, with 45 single stock futures contracts valued at Kes 1.87 million concluded, compared to the 26 SSF contracts valued at Kes 304,600 concluded on the previous session

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a decline in activity during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 2.77  billion transacted in 50 deals as compared to the Kes 4.41 billion worth of bonds achieved in 80 deals in the preceding session.
