A total of 13,331,800 shares in 1,100 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 380,915,296.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Tuesday, July 13), today’s data shows 4% decline in turnover but 7% improvement in deals.

The current market capitalization of the Nairobi Securities Exchange is KES 2.67 trillion.

In the aggregate, 46 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 16✅ gainers and 21? losers.

Kapchorua Plc [KAPC] led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at ✅KES 93.50 per share, followed by:

✅Eveready E.A Plc [EVRD] (+8.25%)
✅ Diamond Trust Bank Kenya Plc [DTK](+6.72%)
✅ ILAM Fahari IREIT [FAHR](+5.23%).

On the losing side, CIC Insurance Plc [CIC] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?8.61% at KES 3.08 per share, followed by:

? Sameer Africa Plc [SMER] (-5.29%)
?Crown Paints Plc [CRWN] (-4.04%)
? Nairobi Business Ventures[NBV] (-3.33%)

KenGen Plc [KEGN] recorded the highest volume of 2.9 million traded shares, followed by:

➖ Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] (2.56m)
➖ Safaricom Plc [SCOM] (1.74m)
➖ I&M Holdings Plc [IMH] (1.66m)

➡️The benchmarks NSE All-Share Index [NASI] gained✅1.31 points to close at 176.15
➡️The NSE 20 Share Index gained✅2.10  points to close at 1955.47
➡️The NSE 25 Share Index gained✅ 16.20 points to close at 3860.78

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a decline in activity during Today’s trading session, with 28 single stock futures contracts valued at Kes 753,650 concluded, compared to the 25 contracts valued at Kes 850,160 concluded on the previous session.

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a decline in activity during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 4.76 billion transacted in 49 deals as compared to the Kes 5.63 billion worth of bonds achieved in 125 deals in the preceding session.
