Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Friday, November 19), today’s data shows 35% decline in volume, 31% decline in turnover, and 22% decline in deals.

The current market capitalization of the Nairobi Securities Exchange is KES 2.5 trillion.

In the aggregate, 45 NSE equities participated in trading, ending with 13 ✅gainers and 25🔻 losers.

Nairobi Business Ventures [NBV] led the gainers with✅ 9.71% share price appreciation closing at KES 4.18 per share, followed by:

✅ BOC Gases Kenya Plc [BOC] (+2.94%)
✅ ILAM Fahari IREIT [FAHR](+1.75%)
✅ TransCentury Plc [TCL] (+1.69%).

On the losing side, Sameer Africa Plc [SMER] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of🔻 8.42% at KES 2.61 per share, followed by:

🔻 Liberty Holdings Plc [LBTY] (-5.63%)
🔻Nation Media Group [NMG](-4.25%)
🔻 Uchumi Supermarkets Plc [UCHM] (-4.17%).

Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] recorded the highest volume of 4.69 million traded shares, followed by:

➖ Absa Bank Kenya Plc [ABSA] (4.18m)
➖ Safaricom Plc [SCOM] (3.76m)
➖ Kenya Power & Lighting Company Plc [KPLC] (982,600)

➡️The benchmark NSE All-Share Index [NASI] declined🔻 3.62 points to close at 164.81
➡️The NSE 20 Share Index declined🔻 17.54 points to close at 1876.11
➡️The NSE 25 Share Index declined🔻52.64 points to close at 3679.83

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE.

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a rise in activity with 44 single stock features valued at Kes 1.76 million traded during today’s trading session compared to the 2 single stock features valued at Kes 79,720 traded during the previous trading session.

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a rise in turnover during Today’s trading session, with bonds valued at Kes 3.27 billion transacted in 85 deals compared to the Kes 2.44 billion worth of bonds achieved in 85 deals traded at the close of the previous trading session.
