A total of 12,645,900 shares in 1,015 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 458,469,061.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Tuesday, October 26), today’s data shows 37% improvement in volume, 38% improvement in turnover, but 13% decline in deals.

The current market capitalization of the Nairobi Securities Exchange is KES 2.67 trillion.

In the aggregate, 52 NSE equities participated in trading, ending with 24✅ gainers and 15🔻 losers.

BOC Gases Kenya Plc [BOC] led the gainers with ✅8.53% share price appreciation closing at KES 70.00 per share, followed by:

✅ Express Kenya Plc [XPRS] (+8.29%)
✅ Nairobi Business Ventures [NBV] (+8%)
✅ Liberty Holdings Plc [LBTY] (+6.67%).

On the losing side, TPS Eastern Africa Plc [TPSE] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of🔻 6.78% at KES 15.80 per share, followed by:

🔻CIC Insurance Plc [CIC] (-4.62%)
🔻Eveready E.A Plc [EVRD] (-3.85%)
🔻 Olympia Capital Holdings [OCH] (-3.14%).

Safaricom Plc [SCOM] recorded the highest volume of 3.57 million traded shares, followed by:

➖ KCB Group Plc [KCB] (2.96m)
➖ Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] (1.87m)
➖ Kenya Power & Lighting Company Plc [KPLC] (1.03m)

➡️The benchmark NSE All-Share Index [NASI] gained✅ 0.05 to close at 175.82
➡️The NSE 20 Share Index gained✅ 8.26 points to close at 1955.23
➡️The NSE 25 Share Index gained✅ 3.70 points to close at 3825.51

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a rise in activity with 18 single stock features valued at Kes 693,385 traded during today’s trading session compared to the 8 single stock features valued at Kes 255,000  traded during the previous trading session.

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a decline in activity during Today’s trading session, with bonds valued at Kes 4.68 billion transacted in 154 deals compared to the Kes 6.12  billion worth of bonds achieved in 111  deals traded at the close of the previous trading session.
