At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange

A total of 22,981,300 shares in 1,192 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 741,700,485.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Tuesday, March 30), today’s data shows 22% decline in volume, 37% decline in turnover, and 6% decline in deals.

The current Nairobi Securities Exchange market capitalization is KES 2.39 trillion.

In the aggregate, 47 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 22✅ gainers and 20? losers.

I&M Holdings Plc [IMH] led the gainers with 13.64% share price appreciation closing at✅ KES 50.00 per share, followed by:

✅Eaagads Plc [EGAD] (+9.58%)
✅Williamson Tea Kenya Plc [WTK] (+7.89%)
✅Crown Paints Plc [CRWN] (+6.48%).

On the losing side, Uchumi Supermarkets Plc [UCHM] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of? 8% at KES 0.23 per share, followed by:

?CIC Insurance Plc [CIC] (-7.56%)
?Sameer Africa Plc [SMER] (-6.05%)
?Nairobi Securities Exchange Plc [NSE] (-4.83%)

Safaricom Plc [SCOM] recorded the highest volume of 14.7 million traded shares, followed by:

➖KCB Group Plc [KCB] (2m)
➖Co-operative Bank of Kenya [COOP] (1.75m)
➖Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] (1.23m

➡️The benchmark NSE All Share Index [NASI] declined ?2.35 points to close at 158.62
➡️The NSE 20 Share Index declined ? 0.35 points to close at 1846.41
➡️The NSE 25 Share Index declined?12.82points to close at 3531.58

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a notable rise during  today’s trading session, with 23 single stock futures contracts valued at Kes 8,021,550 concluded, compared to the 15 SSF contracts valued at Kes 821,550 concluded on the previous session

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a decline in activity during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 1.58 billion transacted in 61 deals as compared to the Kes 4.57 billion worth of bonds achieved in 84 deals in the preceding session
