In the aggregate, 47 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 22✅ gainers and 17? losers.

Crown Paints Plc [CRWN] led the gainers with✅ 9.74% share price appreciation closing at KES 42.80 per share, followed by:

✅ Nation Media Group Plc [NMG] (+8.41%)
✅Olympia Capital Holdings [OCH] (+7.69%)
✅ Bamburi Cement Plc [BAMB] (+5.29%).

On the losing side, Uchumi Supermarkets Plc [UCHM] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of? 3.85% at KES 0.25 per share, followed by:

?WPP ScanGroup Plc [SCAN] (-3.1%)
?CIC Insurance Plc [CIC] (-2.8%)
?Safaricom Plc [SCOM] (-2.39%).

Carbacid Plc [CARB] recorded the highest volume of 7.3 million traded shares, followed by:

➖Safaricom Plc [SCOM] (1.96m)
➖Co-operative Bank of Kenya[COOP] (1.79m)
➖Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] (613,000)

➡️The benchmark NSE All-Share Index [NASI] declined? 2.72 points to close at 169.97
➡️The NSE 20 Share Index gained✅9.40 points to close at 1871.51
➡️The NSE 25 Share Index declined? 43.13 points to close at 3669.57

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a rise in activity during Today’s trading session, with 97 single stock futures contracts valued at Kes 4.00 million concluded, compared to the 77 SSF contracts valued at Kes 3.13 concluded on the previous session

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a rise in activity during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 6.27 billion transacted in 110 deals as compared to the Kes 6.12 billion worth of bonds achieved in 112 deals in the preceding session
