New orders grew for the third month running, helped by a further increase in foreign orders, particularly from Europe and the Middle East.

Volume on U.S. exchanges was 8.45 billion shares, compared with the 9.79 billion average for the full session over the last 20 trading days.

There were no contracts  concluded on the derivative market of the NSE during today’s trading session.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index rose 1.32% on the day to 23,767.78, with shares of HSBC soaring 4.03%.
