At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)

A total of 8,789,200 shares in 805 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 145,385,408.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Wednesday, September 30), today’s data shows 66% decline in volume, 78% decline in turnover, and 16% decline in deals.

The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.1 trillion.

In the aggregate, 41 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 16✅ gainers and 13? losers.

Jubilee Holdings  Plc [JUB] led the gainers with ✅9.92% share price appreciation closing at KES 266.00 per share, followed by:

✅ Bank of Kigali Group Plc [BKG] (+9.47%)
✅ WPP ScanGroup Plc [SCAN] (+5.11%)
✅ Diamond Trust Bank Kenya Plc [DTK] (+2.92%).

On the losing side, Sameer Africa Plc[SMER] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of? 9.87% closing at KES 3.47 per share, followed by:

? TPS Eastern Africa Plc [TPSE](-9.73%),
?Eveready E.A Plc [EVRD](-6%)
? Sanlam Kenya Plc [SLAM] (-3.85%).

Kenya Re-Insurance Corporation[KENRE] recorded the highest volume of 3.4 million traded shares, followed by:

There were no contracts concluded on the derivative market of the NSE during today’s trading session.

The secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a decline  in activity during today’s session with bonds worth Kes 2.83 billion transacted in 50 deals in as compared to the Kes 3.04 billion achieved in 73 deals during the previous trading session.
