Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Wednesday, December 2), today’s data shows 36% improvement in volume, 39% improvement in turnover, but 12% decline in deals.

The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.21 trillion.

In the aggregate, 47 NSE listed securities participated in trading, ending with 21 gainers and 18 losers.

Home Afrika Plc [HAFR] led the gainers with ✅7.89% share price appreciation closing at KES 0.41 per share, followed by:

✅Olympia Capital Holdings [OCH] (+7.62%)
✅Kengen Kenya Plc [KEGN] (+7.32%)
✅WPP ScanGroup Plc [SCAN] (+6.95%).

On the losing side, Express Kenya Plc [XPRS] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?10.00% at KES 2.70 per share, followed by:

?BOC Kenya Plc [BOC] (-6.27%)
?Eveready East Africa Plc [EVRD] (-5.45%).

Safaricom Plc [SCOM] recorded the highest volume of 22.9 million traded shares, followed by:

Trading on the secondary bond market at the NSE recorded a decline in activity with bonds worth Kes 1.35 billion transacted in 44 deals on the Fixed income segment as compared to the Kes 1.63 billion worth of bonds transacted during the previous trading session
