Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Wednesday, June 3), today’s data shows 45% improvement in volume, 41% improvement in turnover, and 7% improvement in deals.

The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.12 trillion.

In the aggregate, 45 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 19 ✅gainers and 23 ?losers.

Trans Century Plc [TCL] led the gainers with ✅9.21% share price appreciation closing at KES 1.66 per share, followed by:

✅Standard Chartered Bank [SCBK] (+6.27%)
✅Longhorn Publishers Plc [LKL] (+5.69%).

On the losing side, Kapchorua Tea Company Plc [KAPC] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?8.86% closing at KES 72.00 per share, followed by:

?Absa Bank Kenya Plc [ABSA] (-6.48%)
?Nation Media Group Plc [NMG] (-5.41%).

Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] recorded the highest volume of 7 million traded shares, followed by:

The secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded an exponential rise in activity with bonds worth Kes 4.45 Billion achieved in 136 deals on the market as compared to the Kes 2.02 Billion achieved in 103 deals achieved during the previous trading session.
