Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Wednesday, January 13), today’s data shows 66% improvement in volume, 86% improvement in turnover, and 20% improvement in deals.
The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.38 trillion.
In the aggregate, 46 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 18 gainers and 22 losers.
Stanbic Holdings Plc [SBIC] led the gainers with ✅9.78% share price appreciation closing at KES 87.00 per share, followed by:

✅Nairobi Business Ventures [NBV] (+4.11%).
On the losing side, TPS Eastern Africa Plc [TPSE] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?7.78% at KES 16.00 per share, followed by:

The derivatives market of the NSE posted an exponential growth in activities, with 30 contracts valued at Kes 851,925 concluded as compared to the 7 contracts valued at Kes 199,140 achieved in the previous trading session.
The secondary bond market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a rise in activity during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 1.04 billion traded in 41 deals transacted as compared to the Kes 922.35 million achieved in 45 deals during the previous trading session.
