At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE),

A total of 16,894,700 shares in 1,051 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 474,079,776.00 were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Monday, June 15), today’s data shows 60% decline in volume and 47% decline in turnover.

The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.2 trillion.

In the aggregate, 49 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 25 ✅gainers and 19 ? losers.

Eaagads Limited [EGAD] led the gainers with 10% share price appreciation closing at KES 9.90 per share, followed by:

✅Olympia Capital Holdings [OCH] (+9.62%)
✅Williamson Tea Kenya [WTK](+9.09%)
✅Diamond Trust Bank Kenya [DTK] (+8.42%).

On the losing side, Britam Holdings Plc [BRIT] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?9.67% closing at KES 9.62 per share, followed by:

?Flame Tree Group Holdings [FTGH] (-8.33%),
?Kenya Power & Lighting Company [KPLC] (-8.02%)
?Express Kenya Plc [XPRS] (-7.27%).

Safaricom Plc [SCOM]recorded the highest volume of 8.4 million traded shares, followed by;

➖KCB Group Plc [KCB] (540,600).

➡️The benchmark NSE All Share Index [NASI] gained ✅ 1.49 points to close at 144.74

➡️The NSE 20 Share Index gained ✅2.60 points to close at 2025.55

➡️The NSE 25 Share Index gained ✅26.96 points to close at 3327.24

The Derivatives market of the NSE had 15 contracts valued at Kes 436,510 concluded in today’s trading session. These were the first trades this week. The KCB single stock futures expiring in September 2020 had 10 contracts concluded.

The secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a decline in activity with bonds worth Kes 3.05 Billion achieved in 142 deals on the market as compared to the Kes 3.90 Billion achieved in 123 deals recorded during the previous trading session.
