Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Monday, August 17), today’s data shows 17% decline in volume, 10% improvement in turnover, and 14% improvement in deals.
The current NSE market capitalization is KES 1.96 trillion.
In the aggregate, 45 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 17 ✅gainers and 18 ?losers.
Standard Group Plc [SGL] led the gainers with ✅9.85% share price appreciation closing at KES 22.30 per share, followed by:

✅Umeme Limited [UMME] (+8.70%).
On the losing side, Bank of Kigali Group Plc [BKG] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?5.94% closing at KES 15.05 per share, followed by:

The Derivatives Market had 4 contracts valued at Kes.97,000 transacted in today’s trading session. Two Safaricom contracts worth Kes.55,000 expiring in 17th Sep 2020 were concluded at a price of Kes.27.50. This is against an end of day price of Kes.28.00 posted in the spot market.
Activity on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange slumped with bonds worth Kes 914.01 million achieved in 67 deals in today’s session as compared to the Kes 2.96 Billion achieved in 90 deals during the previous trading session
