At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)

A total of 9,056,500 shares in 934 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 182,741,085.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Monday, September 28), today’s data shows 39% decline in volume, 40% decline in turnover, but 5% improvement in deals.

The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.1 trillion.

In the aggregate, 44 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 13✅ gainers and 24? losers.

Carbacid Plc[CARB] led the gainers with✅ 3.98% share price appreciation closing at KES 8.36 per share, followed by:

✅ Uchumi Supermarkets Plc [UCHM](+3.33%)
✅ I&M Holdings Plc [IMH] (+2.27%)
✅ East African Breweries Plc [EABL] (+1.19%).

On the losing side, Crown Paints Plc[CRWN] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of? 9.68% at KES 42.00 per share, followed by:

? TPS Eastern Africa Plc [TPSE](-7.21%)
? Trans Century Plc [TCL] (-4.82%)
? East African Cables [CABL] (-3.36%).

Kenya Power & Lighting Company Plc [KPLC] recorded the highest volume of 2.3 million traded shares, followed by:
