NSE Market Report – 25th September 2025: KCB Dominates Market as Top Traded Counter

NSE market activity for 25th September 2025 had the top gainer as KPLC P0004 which closed at a price of KES 4.51 and a daily change of 10%. It was then followed by a Home Afrika – a firm in the investment sector, which had a closing price of KES 1.11 and a daily change of 9.9%. The top loser was Eaagads Plc, which is an agricultural firm, closing at KES 18.00 and thereby marking a daily drop of 9.3%.

NSE Indices Performance

The Nairobi All-Share Index was higher in the day’s trading and closed at 177.80 points, up 0.4%. This increase was driven by gains from Cooperative Bank, Stanbic Holdings Plc, ABSA Bank and Safaricom Plc. The NSE-10 Index closed at 1,784.79 points and thereby marking growth of 0.6%. The NSE-20 Index gained compared to the previous session, recording an uptick of 0.4% and closing at 2,974.45 points. The NSE-25 Index closed the trading session at 4,629.87, up 0.5%.

Volume and Turnover

NSE equity turnover declined by 14.9% in the day to KES 1.7T compared to KES 2T in the previous session. The foreign investors recorded a net outflow of KES 40.83M, an increase from the previous trading session which recorded KES 38.73M. KCB Group was the most traded with an aggregate turnover of KES 672.17M, while Safaricom Plc was the second highest traded with a cumulative turnover of KES 379.25M. The following companies recorded losses that weighed down the market: BK Group Plc 1.6%, KCB Group 0.9%, BAT 0.9% and EABL 0.6%.
