Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Tuesday, September 29), today’s data shows 182% improvement in volume, 257% improvement in turnover, and 2% improvement in deals.

The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.1 trillion.

In the aggregate, 43 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 15✅ gainers and 16? losers.

Jubilee Holdings Plc[JUB] led the gainers with 10.00% share price appreciation closing at✅ KES 242.00 per share, followed by

✅ TPS Eastern Africa Plc [TPSE] (+9.71%)
✅Stanbic Holdings Plc [SBIC] (+7.59%)
✅ Nairobi Securities Exchange Plc [NSE] (+3.6%).

On the losing side, Bank of Kigali Group Plc [BKG] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of? 6.9% at KES 12.15 per share, followed by

? Olympia Capital Holdings[OCH] (-6.67%)
? WPP ScanGroup Plc [SCAN] (-4.86%)
? Uchumi Supermarkets Plc [UCHM] (-3.23%).

Safaricom Plc[SCOM] recorded the highest volume of 16.2 million traded shares, followed by

➖ Bank of Kigali Group Plc [BKG] (3.1m)
➖Kengen Plc [KEGN] (1.58m)
➖ Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY](1.12m

➡️The benchmark NSE All Share Index [NASI] declined? 0.11 points to close at 139.89
➡️The NSE 20 Share Index gained ✅ 7.30 points to close at 1852.29
➡️The NSE 25 Share Index gained ✅6.53 points to close at 3258.78

There was 1 contract valued at kes 39,000 concluded on the derivative market of the NSE. This was the first trade on the NEXT this week.

The secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a rise in activity during today’s session with bonds worth Kes 3.03 billion transacted in 73 deals in as compared to the Kes 2.95 billion achieved in 69 deals during the previous trading session.
