A total of 26,082,100 shares in 945 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 565,590,278.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Monday, March 22), today’s data shows 70% improvement in volume, 14% improvement in turnover, and 11% improvement in deals.

The current Nairobi Securities Exchange market capitalization is KES 2.55 trillion.

In the aggregate, 44 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 22✅ gainers and 18? losers.

HF Group Plc [HFCK] led the gainers with 9.84% share price appreciation closing at KES 4.13 per share, followed by

✅ BOC Gases Kenya Plc [BOC] (+6.67%)
✅ I&M Holdings Plc [IMH] (+4.65%)
✅ East African Cables Plc [CABL] (+4.62%).

On the losing side, Liberty Holdings Plc [LBTY] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of? 6.82% at KES 7.92 per share, followed by:

? Total Kenya Plc [TOTL] (-5%)
?Longhorn Publishers Plc [LKL] (-3.9%)
? CIC Insurance Plc [CIC] (-2.16%).

TransCentury Plc [TCL] recorded the highest volume of 9.7 million traded shares, followed by :

➖Safaricom Plc [SCOM] (8.99m)
➖Kenya Power & Lighting Company Plc [KPLC] (1.81m)
➖Co-operative Bank of Kenya [COOP] (1.37m)

➡️The benchmark NSE All Share Index [NASI] gained✅ 1.61 points to close at 169.11
➡️The NSE 20 Share Index declined ? 0.01 points to close at 1931.34
➡️The NSE 25 Share Index gained✅ 26.95 points to close at 3736.79

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a notable rise in activity in today’s trading session, with 61 single stock futures contracts valued at Kes 2.67 million concluded, compared to the 28 SSF contracts valued at Kes 1.02 million concluded on the previous session

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a rise during Tuesday’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 2.60 billion transacted in 76 deals as compared to the Kes 1.80 billion worth of bonds achieved in 72 deals in the preceding session.
