Britam Holdings PLC has announced the appointment of Mrs. Celestine Munda as the interim Chairperson of the Board, effective March, 31 2026.
Her appointment follows the death of the company’s Board Chairman, Mr. Kuria Muchiru, on March 19, 2026. Mrs. Munda is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company and also serves as the Chairperson of the Group’s Board Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.
She is expected to serve as Chairperson of the Board until the Group communicates a substantive appointment.
Britam’s Remarks
“The Board is Confident that during this transition, she will provide steady leadership and clear strategic direction to the Company and its management,” read a statement by Britam Holdings.
The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
