Kenya’s Public Debt Stock is forecasted to reach Kes 7.8 trillion at the end of the 2020/21 fiscal year and will account for approximately 69% of Gross Domestic Product(GDP) and 87% of the Kes 9 trillion total debt ceiling.
According to a Parliamentary Budget Office(PBO) report, these public debt levels is projected to double by June 2030, accounting for over 100% of GDP.
