A total of 8,298,700 shares in 800 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 227,811,753.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Friday, November 22), today’s data shows 64% decline in volume and 69% decline in turnover and 0.5% improvement in deals. The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.37 trillion.

In the aggregate, 41 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 17 ✅gainers and 17 ?losers.

East African Cables Plc [CABL] led the gainers with ✅9.65% share price appreciation closing at KES 2.84 per share, followed by:

✅Uchumi Supermarkets Plc [UCHM] (+9.37%)
✅Bamburi Cement Plc [BAMB] (+8.33%)
✅Longhorn Publishers Plc [LKL] (+4.82%).

On the losing side, Olympia Capital Holdings [OCH] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?-7.79% closing at KES 2.25 per share, followed by:

?Kapchorua Plc [KAPC] (-4.00%),
?Stanbic Holdings Plc [SBIC] (-3.89%)
?Trans Century Plc [TCL] (-3.70%).

Safaricom Plc [SCOM] recorded the highest volume of 3.3 million traded shares, followed by:

➖Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] (1.64m)
➖Cooperative Bank of Kenya [COOP] (1.55m)
➖Britam Holdings Plc [BRIT]. (536,500).

➡️The benchmark NSE All Share Index [NASI] gained ✅1.01 points to close at 155.85

➡️The NSE 20 Share Index gained ✅4.71 points to close at 2623.46

➡️The NSE 25 Share Index gained ✅6.26 points to close at 3849.07

The Derivatives Market had 1 19DEC19 KCBG contract traded today.

The NSE bond market had 50 deals worth Kes 1.00 Billion an drop in value from Friday’s 166 deals valued at Kes 2.26 Billion
