A total of 14,489,400 shares in 891 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 520,603,087.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Wednesday, November 27), today’s data shows 31% improvement in volume, 9% improvement in turnover, and 9% improvement in deals. The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.38 trillion.

In the aggregate, 42 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 18 ✅gainers and 18 ?losers.

Trans Century Plc [TCL] led the gainers with ✅9.26% share price appreciation closing at KES 2.95 per share, followed by:

✅Longhorn Publishers Plc [LKL] (+5.41%)
✅Britam Holdings Plc [BRIT] (+4.03%)
✅Cooperative Bank of Kenya [COOP] (+3.09%).

On the losing side, Crown Paints Plc [CRWN] Kenya came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?8.82% closing at KES 62.00 per share, followed by:

?Kenya Airways Plc [KQ] (-5.93%)
?Eveready Plc [EVRD] (-5.17%)
?Home Afrika Plc [HAFR] (-4.92%).

Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] recorded the highest volume of 4.7 million traded shares, followed by:

➖Safaricom Plc [SCOM] (3.81m)
➖I&M Holdings Plc [IMH] (1.66m)
➖KCB Group Plc [KCB] (1.1m).

➡️The benchmark NSE All Share Index [NASI] gained ✅ 0.68 points to close at 156.57

➡️The NSE 20 Share Index gained ✅3.20 points to close at 2614.81

➡️The NSE 25 Share Index gained ✅30.79 points to close at 3880.13

The Derivatives Market had 6 contracts traded, valued at Kes. 300,000 up from the one contract valued at Kes. 28,500 transacted in yesterday’s trading session.

The NSE bond market had 149 deals worth Kes 3.21 Billion a drop in value from yesterday’s 127 deals valued at Kes 3.81 Billion
