Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Thursday, July 1), today’s data shows 25% decline in volume, 9% improvement in turnover, but 4% decline in deals.

The current market capitalization of the Nairobi Securities Exchange is KES 2.63 trillion.

In the aggregate, 49 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 19✅ gainers and 21 ?losers.

Nairobi Business Ventures [NBV] led the gainers with 7.59% share price appreciation closing at ✅KES 12.05 per share, followed by:

✅Bamburi Cement Plc [BAMB](+5.28%)
✅ Carbacid Plc [CARB] (+5.04%)
✅ Kapchorua Plc [KAPC] (+4.72%).

On the losing side, Liberty Holdings Plc  [LBTY] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?9.62% at KES 7.70 per share, followed by

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a decline in activity during Today’s trading session, with 15 single stock futures contracts valued at Kes 507,120 concluded, compared to the 34 contracts valued at Kes 1.37 million concluded on the previous session.

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a rise in activity during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 3.93 billion transacted in 62 deals as compared to the Kes 1.86 billion worth of bonds achieved in 55 deals in the preceding session.
