At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange 

A total of 26,376,100 shares in 968 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 752,569,997.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Monday, March 1), today’s data shows 142% improvement in volume, 112% improvement in turnover, but 2% decline in deals.

The current market capitalization of the Nairobi Securities Exchange is KES 2.49 trillion.

In the aggregate, 48 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 13✅ gainers and 24 ????losers.

Nation Media Group Plc [NMG] led the gainers with✅ 9.89% share price appreciation closing at KES 19.45 per share, followed by:

✅Kenya Re-Insurance Corporation [KNRE] (+4.84%)
✅ Longhorn Publishers Plc [LKL] (+4.73%)
✅ CIC Insurance Plc [CIC] (+4.21%).

On the losing side, E.A Portland Plc [PORT] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ????6.87% at KES 8.68 per share, followed by:

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE

The derivatives market recorded an increase during today’s trading session with 18 contracts valued at Kes 1,036,200 concluded as compared to the 14 contracts valued at Kes 540,700 traded during the previous trading session.

The secondary bond market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange has recorded a decline in activity during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes1.44 billion traded in 58 deals as compared to the Kes 2.76 billion achieved in 64 deals concluded in the previous trading session.
