The current market capitalization of the Nairobi Securities Exchange is KES 2.72 trillion.

In the aggregate, 52 NSE equities participated in trading, ending with 21✅ gainers and 18 ?losers.

E.A Portland Plc [PORT] led the gainers with✅ 9.87% share price appreciation closing at KES 8.68 per share, followed by:

✅ Sameer Africa Plc [SMER] (+9.52%)
✅Unga Group Plc [UNGA] (+9.38%)
✅ILAM Fahari IREIT [FAHR] (+7.19%).

On the losing side, Home Afrika Plc [HAFR] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of? 9.09% at KES 0.40 per share, followed by;

?Standard Group Plc [SGL] (-7.65%)
? Nairobi Business Ventures [NBV] (-4.23%)
?Liberty Holdings Plc [LBTY] (-4.21%).

Safaricom Plc [SCOM] recorded the highest volume of 6.66 million traded shares, followed by:

➖Britam Holdings Plc [BRIT] (517,400)
➖ KCB Group Plc [KCB] (476,900)
➖ Kenya Power & Lighting Company Plc [KPLC] (474,800)

➡️The benchmarks NSE All-Share Index [NASI] declined? 0.03 points to close at 178.98
➡️The NSE 20 Share Index gained✅I 2.93 points to close at 1981.91
➡️The NSE 25 Share Index declined?1.39 points to close at 3895.50

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a decline in activity during Today’s trading session, with 15 single stock futures contracts valued at Kes 675,000 concluded, compared to the 33 contracts valued at Kes 796,350concluded on the previous session.

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a rise in activity during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 4.24 billion transacted in 70 deals as compared to the Kes 4.05 billion worth of bonds achieved in  78 deals in the preceding session.
