A total of 27,790,900 shares in 886 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 441,321,327.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Tuesday, June 22), today’s data shows 25% decline in volume, 69% decline in turnover, and 19% decline in deals.

The current market capitalization of the Nairobi Securities Exchange is KES 2.62 trillion.

In the aggregate, 45 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 12✅ gainers and 21? losers.

E. A Portland Plc [PORT] led the gainers with✅ 9.7% share price appreciation closing at KES 8.82 per share, followed by:

✅ Home Afrika Plc [HAFR] (+7.69%)
✅ Olympia Capital Holdings[OCH] (+3.68%)
✅ Nairobi Securities Exchange Plc [NSE] (+3.23%).

On the losing side, Limuru Tea Plc [LIMT] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of? 5.88% at KES 320.00 per share, followed by:

? Flame Tree Group Holdings Plc [FTGH] (-3.6%)
?Eaagads Plc [EGAD] (-3.31%)
? Sanlam Kenya Plc [SLAM] (-3.28%).

Nairobi Business Ventures [NBV] recorded the highest volume of 10 million traded shares, followed by:

➖ Kenya Re-Insurance Corporation[KNRE] (7.34m)
➖ Safaricom Plc [SCOM] (5.35m)
➖ KCB Group Plc [KCB] (1.39m)

➡️The benchmark NSE All-Share Index [NASI] declined? 0.64 points to close at 172.30
➡️The NSE 20 Share Index declined? 0.24 points to close at 1898.68
➡️The NSE 25 Share Index declined? 14.99 points to close at 3753.14

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a decline in activity during Today’s trading session, with 21 single stock futures contracts valued at Kes 859,820 concluded, compared to the 24 SSF contracts valued at Kes 893,770 concluded on the previous session.

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a decline in activity during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 6.34 billion transacted in 111 deals as compared to the Kes 7.16 billion worth of bonds achieved in 114 deals in the preceding session.
