At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange

A total of 37,288,900 shares in 1,091 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 1,411,287,952.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Monday, June 21), today’s data shows 312% improvement in volume, 339% improvement in turnover, and 18% improvement in deals.

The current market capitalization of the Nairobi Securities Exchange is KES 2.63 trillion.

In the aggregate, 47 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 18✅ gainers and 22 ?losers.

Kakuzi Plc [KUKZ] led the gainers with✅ 6.58% share price appreciation closing at KES 405.00 per share, followed by:

✅Eaagads Plc [EGAD] (+5.22%)
✅Jubilee Holdings Plc [JUB](+5%)
✅Crown Paints Plc [CRWN] (+4.71%).

On the losing side, Home Afrika Plc [HAFR] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?7.14% at KES 0.39 per share, followed by;

?Olympia Capital Holdings[OCH] (-4.52%)
?British American Tobacco Plc [BAT] (-2.45%)
?Kenya Re-Insurance Corporation [KNRE] (-2.04%).

Safaricom Plc [SCOM] recorded the highest volume of 18.7 million traded shares, followed by

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a rise in activity during Today’s trading session, with 24 single stock futures contracts valued at Kes 893,770 concluded, compared to the 15 SSF contracts valued at Kes 648.890 concluded on the previous session.

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a rise in activity during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 7.16 billion transacted in 114 deals as compared to the Kes 6.71 billion worth of bonds achieved in 88 deals in the preceding session.
