At the end of the first weekday of trading on the Nairobi Securities Exchange
A total of 12,204,800 shares in 939 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 402,037,402.00, were traded.
Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Friday, April 23), today’s data shows 19% improvement in volume, 6% improvement in turnover, but 9% decline in deals.
The current Nairobi Securities Exchange market capitalization is KES 2.5 trillion.
In the aggregate, 47 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 18✅ gainers and 17🔻 losers.
TPS Eastern Africa Plc [TPSE] led the gainers with✅ 9.09% share price appreciation closing at KES 16.80 per share, followed by:

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a decline in activity during Today’s trading session, with 56 single stock futures contracts valued at Kes 2.12 million concluded, compared to the 75 SSF contracts valued at Kes 2.89 million concluded on the previous session
Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a decline in activity during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 1.80 billion transacted in 88 deals as compared to the Kes 3.04 billion worth of bonds achieved in 92 deals in the preceding session.
