At the end of the first weekday of trading on the Nairobi Securities Exchange 

A total of 13,485,600 shares in 886 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 414,608,365.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Friday, September 24), today’s data shows 23% improvement in volume, 10% improvement in turnover, but 9% decline in deals.

The current market capitalization of the Nairobi Securities Exchange is KES 2.7 trillion.

In the aggregate, 45 NSE equities participated in trading, ending with 26✅ gainers and 11🔻 losers.

Eaagads Plc [EGAD] led the gainers with 8.59% share price appreciation closing at✅ KES 13.90 per share, followed by:

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a decline in today’s trading session, with bonds valued at Kes 2.79 billion transacted in 71 deals compared to the Kes 6.27 billion worth of bonds achieved in 169 deals traded at the close of the previous trading session.
