At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)

A total of 45,532,900 shares in 914 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 1,131,226,986.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Wednesday, February 3), today’s data shows 245% improvement in volume, 185% improvement in turnover, but 5% decline in deals.

The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.38 trillion.

In the aggregate, 42 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 14✅ gainers and 21? losers.

Kenya Power & Lighting Company Plc [KPLC] led the gainers with✅ 6.67% share price appreciation closing at KES 1.60 per share, followed by:

The derivatives market of the NSE recorded a quite a decline in Thursday’s trading session with 11 contracts valued at kes 196,000 concluded against the 16 contracts valued at kes 518,100 traded during the Previous trading session.

The secondary bond market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange has recorded an increase in activity during today’s trading session with bonds worth Kes 4.79 billion traded in 101 deals as compared to the Kes 4.36 billion achieved in 113 deals in the previous trading session.
