Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Tuesday, July 7), today’s data shows 6% decline in volume, 6% decline in turnover, and 8% decline in deals.

The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.02 trillion.

In the aggregate, 43 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 8 ✅gainers and 29? losers.

Uchumi Supermarkets Plc [UCHM] led the gainers with ✅ 3.13% share price appreciation closing at KES 0.33 per share, followed by;

✅Total Kenya Plc [TOTL] (+2.04%),
✅East African Breweries Plc [EABL] (+1.76%)
✅ABSA NewGold Exchange Traded Fund [GLD] (+1.66%).

On the losing side, Express Kenya Plc [XPRS] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?9.89% closing at KES 5.10 per share, followed by;

?WPP ScanGroup Plc [SCAN] (-9.28%),
?Centum Investment Company Plc [CTUM](-7.03%)
?Sasini Plc [SASN](-6.43%).

Safaricom Plc [SCOM] recorded the highest volume of 18.6 million traded shares, followed by;

The Derivatives Market had 7 contracts valued at Kes. 133,500 transacted in today’s trading session, this was lower, compared to the  9 contracts valued at Kes 253,160 transacted the previous trading session.

The secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a notable increase in activity with bonds worth Kes 4.5 Billion achieved in 111 deals on the market as compared to the Kes 3.24 Billion achieved in 104 deals during the previous trading session.
