At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE)

A total of 11,472,900 shares in 642 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 272,026,603.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Tuesday, October 27), today’s data shows 10% improvement in volume, 15% improvement in turnover, but 15% decline in deals.

The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.1 trillion.

In the aggregate, 42 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 16✅ gainers and 18? losers.

Transcentury Plc [TCL] led the gainers with✅ 6.67% share price appreciation closing at KES 1.60 per share, followed by:

✅HF Group Plc [HFCK] (+4.86%)
✅ Total Kenya Plc [TOTL] (+2.78%).

On the losing side, Express Kenya Plc [XPRS] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of? 8.89% at KES 4.10 per share, followed by:

?Sameer Africa Plc [SMER] (-6.00%)
? Car and General Plc [CGEN] (-5.00%).

Safaricom Plc [SCOM] recorded the highest volume of 5.8 million traded shares, followed by:

There were no contracts concluded during today’s trading session on  derivatives market of the NSE.

The bonds market posted a decline in turnover in today’s trading session, with bonds worth Kes 1.77 billion transacted in 64 deals against the 2.53 billion worth of bonds transacted in Tuesday’s  trading session.
