At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).

A total of 29,322,600 shares in 913 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 857,336,116.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Monday, November 11), today’s data shows 105% improvement in volume, 29% improvement in turnover, and 25% improvement in deals. The current NSE market capitalization is KES 2.39 trillion.

In the aggregate, 47 NSE listed equities participated in trading, ending with 20 ✅gainers and 21 ?losers.

Uchumi Supermarkets Plc [UCHM] led the gainers with ✅5.88% share price appreciation closing at KES 0.36 per share, followed by:

✅East African Cables Plc [CABL] (+4.96%)
✅Carbacid Investments Plc [CARB] (+4.94%)
✅Flame Tree Group Holdings [FTGH] (+4.31%).

On the losing side, Umeme Limited [UMME] came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of ?8.67%, closing at KES 7.58 per share, followed by:

?British American Tobacco (Kenya) Plc [BAT]. (-8.39%)
?Home Afrika Plc [HAFR] (-8.33%)
?Sameer Africa Plc [SMER] (-7.51%).

Safaricom Plc [SCOM] recorded the highest volume of 15.1 million traded shares, followed by:

➖Equity Group Holdings Plc [EQTY] (3.02m)
➖KCB Group Plc [KCB] (2.9m).

➡️The benchmark NSE All Share Index [NASI] dropped ?-1.94 points to close at 157.02

➡️The NSE 20 Share Index dropped ?-25.21 points to close at 2672.36

➡️The NSE 25 Share Index dropped ?-44.33 points to close at 3873.14

The Derivatives Market had a total of 14 contracts worth Kes.580,000 transacted in today’s
trading session. The Equity contract expiring in December 19, 2019 moved 6 contracts worth
Kes.289,000 in today’s trading session.

The bond market had 88 deals worth 2.60Bn a drop from Monday’s 121 deals valued at 2.68Bn
