At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange 

A total of 16,058,800 shares in 1,078 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 570,269,030.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Tuesday, November 30), today’s data shows 43% decline in volume, 50% decline in turnover, and 19% decline in deals.

The current market capitalization of the Nairobi Securities Exchange is KES 2.47 trillion.

In the aggregate, 47 NSE equities participated in trading, ending with 15✅ gainers and 23 🔻losers.

Olympia Capital Holdings [OCH] led the gainers with✅ 9.94% share price appreciation closing at KES 1.99 per share, followed by:

✅ Car & General Plc [CGEN] (+9.4%)
✅ TPS Eastern Africa Plc [TPSE] (+8.45%)
✅ Eveready E. A Plc [EVRD](+6.98%).

On the losing side, Standard Group Plc [SGL]came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 🔻9.67% at KES 13.55 per share, followed by:

🔻 East African Cables Plc [CABL](-3.88%)
🔻TransCentury Plc [TCL] (-3.82%)
🔻 ILAM Fahari IREIT [FAHR] (-2.68%).

Safaricom Plc [SCOM] recorded the highest volume of 11.3 million traded shares, followed by:

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a rise in activity with 10 single stock features valued at Kes 442,000 traded during today’s trading session compared to the 5 single stock features valued at Kes 462,440  traded during the previous trading session.

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a rise in turnover during Today’s trading session, with bonds valued at Kes 2.19 billion transacted in 103 deals compared to the Kes 1.86 billion worth of bonds achieved in 78 deals traded at the close of the previous trading session.
