At the end of today’s trading session on the Nairobi Securities Exchange 

A total of 28,282,200 shares in 1,324 deals, corresponding to a market value of KES 1,138,832,773.00, were traded.

Compared with the previous NSE trading day (Monday, November 29), today’s data shows 18% improvement in volume, 76% improvement in turnover, and 12% improvement in deals.

The current market capitalization of the Nairobi Securities Exchange is KES 2.48 trillion.

In the aggregate, 46 NSE equities participated in trading, ending with 10 ✅gainers and 26🔻 losers.

Uchumi Supermarkets Plc [UCHM] led the gainers with✅ 9.52% share price appreciation closing at KES 0.23 per share, followed by:

✅Trans Century Plc [TCL] (+5.65%)
✅ NCBA Group Plc [NCBA] (+2.07%)
✅ KenGen Plc [KEGN] (+0.91%).

On the losing side, Olympia Capital Holdings [OCH]came out last with an end-of-day price depreciation of 🔻8.59% at KES 1.81 per share, followed by:

🔻 Eveready E. A Plc [EVRD] (-6.52%)
🔻 Britam Holdings Plc [BRIT] (-4%)
🔻 Carbacid Plc [CARB] (-3.86%).

Safaricom Plc [SCOM] recorded the highest volume of 15.7 million traded shares, followed by:

Bonds & Derivatives on NSE.

The derivatives market of the Nairobi Securities Exchange recorded a rise in activity with 10 single stock features valued at Kes 462,440 traded during today’s trading session compared to the 5 single stock features valued at Kes 248,500  traded during the previous trading session.

Trading on the secondary bond market on the Nairobi Securities Exchange posted a rise in turnover during Today’s trading session, with bonds valued at Kes 1.86 billion transacted in 78 deals compared to the Kes 1.82 billion worth of bonds achieved in 67 deals traded at the close of the previous trading session.
